About Us

Hi!  I’m Feng-Feng Yeh
(pronounced Fun-Fun Yay)

I am a food snob and I think people call that a foodie these days.  I also am a fashion snob, a music snob, art, and culture snob.  I call all that snobbery good taste.

A trained chef I am not, nor have I gone to school for nutrition. In fact, I have been working in the fashion industry in NYC for over 10 years.  I have my own womenswear collection, Savant that I showed at NYFW from SS2009 to FW2014.  In the early 2000’s, I used to throw outrageously debaucherous parties in downtown Manhattan called Six Six Sick but now I just DJ occasionally, go to warehouse parties, or go to my sexy workout dance classes when I feel like I need to twerk/turnup.

I started Ciao Downtown because I want to share the knowledge and power of leading a healthy lifestyle to everyone.  After being a NYC party girl for so long I realized the boundaries of the human body.  Being good to yourself and treating your body with respect is the first step in feeling your best.  The right balance of exercise and sleep, proper nutrition is the key to optimal health and good health is your greatest luxury!!!

In 2013 I had to undergo surgery because I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome- it’s basically a hormone imbalance).  I was told I had to go on birth control in order to avoid further surgeries but I was convinced this was not the right solution.  I researched holistic treatments and learned that about 70% of diseases are preventable through diet and supplemental health.  I immediately changed my diet and in turn, my health issues calmed.  I was amazed to find a whole new way of cooking and eating that is nutritious, prevents disease and that satiates even my worst winter comfort food cravings!

I wanted to share this with all my friends, family and loved ones because it’s never too late to start taking control of your health!  You are only as rich as your health and your health is in your own hands.
