INGREDIENTS

FOR THE FRIES

  • 2 LARGE SWEET POTATOES CUT INTO THICK (APPROX 1”X3”) STICKS
  • ½ TSP SMOKED PAPRIKA
  • ¼ TSP GROUND CUMIN
  • ¼ GARLIC POWDER
  • ¼ TSP TUMERIC
  • ½ TSP SEA SALT
  • ½ TSP BLACK PEPPER
  • 3 TBLSP OLIVE OIL

INSTRUCTIONS

GET IT HOT AND PREHEAT YOUR OVEN AT 420. CUT THE SWEET POTATOES INTO THICK (APPROX 1”X3”) STICKS. THEN PLACE INTO A LARGE BOWL AND MIX SPICES AND OLIVE OIL COATING EACH STICK EVENLY AND GENEROUSLY AS IF IT WAS YOUR FAVORITE LUBE.

ON A BAKING SHEET PLACE EACH STICK EVENLY SPACED MAKING SURE TO GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROOM TO GET CRUNCHY ON THEIR OWN. IF THE FRIES GET TOO CLOSE TOGETHER THEY WILL STEAM EACH OTHER AND WILL GET SOGGY INSTEAD OF CRUNCHY. NO ONE WANTS A SOGGY FRY!

PLACE TRAY INTO THE OVEN. AFTER 8-10 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, FLIP OVER THE FRIES TO BAKE THE OTHER SIDE AND PUT IT BACK IN TO COOK FOR AN ADDITIONAL 9-10 MINUTES. IT’S JUST LIKE SUNBATHING IN THE NUDE, YOU GOT TO GET BOTH SIDES EVEN FOR THE REAL CRISP SKIN.

ONCE COOKED, PLACE IN A DISH AND POUR OR SQUEEZE ON THE VEGAN CASHEW CHEESE WHIZ AND MUSHROOM GRAVY!*
